I also thanked a whole bunch of people in a letter to the editor via the Davis Enterprise a couple of weeks ago.  In case you missed it and/or live out of the area, here’s what it said:

Davis Music Fest a huge success

Big thanks to everyone who came out and enjoyed the shows last Saturday! Without your support, this would have been a one-and-done, failed experiment. Fortunately, local music fans are alive and kicking and we intend to provide a similarly styled festival again in 2012.

As organizer, I’ve been the face of this thing for the past several weeks in regular, new and social media, for which I humbly accept the gratitude and support shown by our community and folks who have taken time to praise the idea and efforts to pull it off.

Obviously, one person can’t throw a party of this magnitude and it’s important that the following people are recognized as critical players.

Artists, Venue Owners and Staff, Sound Engineers, Awesome Patrolers.. and most importantly, the fans.  Over 500 people came out last night.  Everyone was amazingly cool and supportive.  It was a problem-free evening net result.  In fact, late last night when asked if there were any issues, one police officer responded “what music festival?”

In addition to Armadillo Music and online, wristbands will be sold at the door of each venue: E Street Plaza, Odd Fellows Hall (415 2nd), Delta of Venus (122 B), Little Prague (330 G) and Sophia’s Thai Kitchen (129 E).

Single venue entry may also be sold, depending on capacity of the venue.  I’d get there early if I were you.

Encouraged transportation to downtown: Amtrak (within 2 blocks of the venues), Bike, Walk, Davis Pedicab, Bus, Taxi.

Please drink responsibly.  Please be cool to everyone.  Please have fun.

Enjoy and see you all tomorrow! Make sure you get your $20 wristbands online, at Armadillo Music, or with cash at the venues. Single-venue entry will be granted for $8 at Delta of Venus, Sophia’s Thai Kitchen, E St. Plaza and Little Prague.
